No, not just you, she is extremely fit. But then I remember her politics and that cools my ardour.

    • Chas Newkey-Burden says:

She’s lovely. And political positions in Israel can be quite…fluid affairs, so in time she could be a pin-up on both fronts for you?

      • F Callen says:

I’m picturing her in long skirt and head covering in the doorway of a trailer home, high on a Samarian hilltop. Could work.

  2. Shmuel says:

    LOL LOL LOL CHAZ!

  3. Chas Newkey-Burden says:

On the actual political implications of her launch today, it is difficult to argue with what she said here:

“Everything is upside down: this is a government that negotiates with a terror organization and freezes talks with those who have stopped carrying out terror attacks.”

    • F Callen says:

But what negotiating is the govt doing with Hamas other than the release one hostage and the ending of rocket attacks?

  4. Sharona says:

Chas, dear – it is without a doubt – just you! But hay each one to their own. Some might like Jacob others like Jasper.

  5. Doron says:

    Really??
    Give me Ayelet Shaked anytime!

  6. Steve Wenick says:

Tzipi Livni hot? Oh dear, I guess that’s why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

  7. Imshin says:

My Bish had a meeting with her once, when she was a minister. It was meant to be an hour-long meeting but she threw him out after twenty minutes, after wiping the floor with him (and he’s no softy, believe me). He was smitten for ages!

It is actually easy to argue with what she said. It is Abbas who has chosen to freeze talks with Israel by making his bid for unilateral statehood via the UN. This is a direct abrogation of his commitments under the Oslo accords and will serve no purpose whatsoever to enable actual progress between the two sides. When Netanyahu froze settlements for 10 months, Abbas stayed away from negotiations with BN for almost that entire time. By blaming Netanyahu for the non negotiations with his Palestinian counterpart, Livni is merely proving how much of an opportunist she is, someone prepared to make political capital out of a situation where her country is facing a major diplomatic assault. At such times, and only at such times, the opposition should present a united front against the assailant.

Off topic (sorry I don’t get the hots for politicians – now police women – but er, that’s another thing!)does anyone know what has happened to Harry’s Place – I havn’t beeen able to get into the site for days.

  10. Chas Newkey-Burden says:

This is from Harry’s Place on FB:

Really sorry, but we still have these annoying suicide bombers in our servers. Believe me, we’re working as fast as we can to scrape their charred flesh from the valves and transistors. But there is hair stuck in the cogs, and the spark plugs are all gunked up with WHO KNOWS WHAT.

Not to worry. We’ve bought a Karcher spray cleaner, and we’ll be back to normal in no time.

  11. Davidb says:

Check out Tzipi Hotevely, you might prefer her

  12. Fembota says:

I wish the Hatnua party all the best, surely it will take a long time for it to gain traction. Why did they not form some sort of coalition?

    @Davidb, Quote from Hotevely :

Passionately and articulately, Hotovely insisted that “the only government to rule this land is the government of Israel.” The Likud, she noted, “was not established to build a Palestinian state.” It must not support “any diplomatic process that destroys the Zionist enterprise in Judea and Samaria.”

    Is this the one-state solution?

Chas I had always thought Lieberman was more to your taste.

  14. Richard Armbach says:

Well this is a paraphrase but you know what they say about Bibi.

” Bibi has two kinds of lovers. Those he has betrayed and those he will betray “

  15. Richard Armbach says:

Chas I would like to ask you a very serious question. No messing about. When the heat was on Hoffman over the EDL you wrote a blog eulogising Hoff and justifying the EDL link up. When Jews Sans Frontieres got on the case you deleted it ? Why was that ?

    • Chas Newkey-Burden says:

I’ve never justified the EDL. I oppose and despise them wholeheartedly.

I deleted around 200 posts from the archive earlier this year.

      • blahblahblah says:

Including anything that might’ve undermined Jonathan Sacerdotis claim to be an impartial middle east analyst when talking to the BBC?
        Oh memory hole,gawd bless yer!

        • Brian Goldfarb says:

Oh, you again. Why post anonymously? Are you afraid to post under your real name? Why should you be taken seriously?

I’m surprised Chas bothers to clear your posts.

          • blahblahblah says:

I suppose everyone has their own threshold of acceptable privacy,”Brian”.Some might even think it a bit odd that you are so desperate to know my identity, and in any case, who wants to be a target for any passing hacker or fraudster that trawl blogs looking for suckers?
Is “Brian Goldfarb” your real name by the way? I’ve absolutely no way of knowing. You claim to be a bloke from London in his dotage yet some of your turns of phrase are reminiscient of a california Valley Girl.I suppose youth culture permeates everywhere these days. That would explain it.

Chas I would like to ask you a very serious question.

  17. Richard Armbach says:

When the heat was on H over the eee dddd llll you wrote a blog eulogising H and justifying the link up. When Jews Sans Frontieres got on the case you deleted the blog. Why was that ?

  18. Richard Armbach says:

I didn’t ask that.I asked why you deleted YOUR OWN blog justifying
H’s link up with them once Jews Sans Frontieres got on the case.

  19. Richard Armbach says:

Maybe we could now see it ? Or failing that maybe you could repeat your arguments ? ( there is a picture of it )

  20. Steve says:

Generally, good looks are a handicap in political life, or should be. Who should care what our political leaders look like and whether they are physically appealing? Tzipi Livni already struggles with making her lite-left politics mean more than a casual nod to socialism so why burden her further with an appeal to how hot she is… really, for shame! Bring back Ben-Gurion or Golda Meir and damn all attractive politicians. Except Caroline Glick who is both a hot babe and political heavyweight. You heard it here first!

  21. Brian Goldfarb says:

blahetc expects to be taken seriously when he or she refuses to answer direct points, as happened over on the Gaza thread. Or do you expect to deter others from being serious by being stupid yourself?

It’s a serious question as to posting anonymously, because it makes someone less accountable and able to be rude without any comeback.

And, frankly, your insinuations are laughable beyond belief. Reminds me commenters on other sites somewhat. Their resort to personal attacks as an alternative to actually responding to straight points did them no good either.

  22. Good day! I could have sworn I’ve been to this website before but after checking through some of the post I realized it’s new
to me. Anyhow, I’m definitely delighted I found it and I’ll be
    book-marking and checking back frequently!
